Thanks to those that supplied data on the RafMan's Google Sheet. I have shot this gun on many occasions over the years and it doesn't like various hollow points, but is flawless with FMC/FMJ. The serial number of a Walther PPK is generally located on the frame or slide of the pistol.
Your Google sheet has appeared to have narrowed the date on my Dad's gun somewhere between 1983-1986 I absolutely know that Dad had this gun for well over 20years, so the date can't be Nov/2014. But I know he bought it from our local hardware store in downtown.Ĭan't figure out why the guy that did the test fire (3 shots) only recorded the month/day (11/14). Unfortunately Dad on purpose scratched of the sales sticker on the box. I have the plastic box, the extra magazine, instruction manual, safety warning manual, limited warranty sheet and the test target.
Can the serial number be used to determine the age of a Walther PPK The serial number itself does not provide information about the age of the firearm, but a manufacturer’s database or reference guide may help determine the production year. I have inherited my Dad's PPK/s Stainless (Interarms Alexandria, Virginia) S/N S035081. Yes, the serial number is often required for firearm registration and other legal purposes. Request to add my PPK/s to RafMan's Google Sheet.
